Unlocking an Unknown - A Joint Blog Project

Unlocking the Secrets of an Unknown Parfum

Look closely at the symbol on these bottles ( pictured at right )...it resembles a sort of 6T . The bottle on the left is the men's version , which my husband has been wearing . The bottle on the right is the women's parfum . I have taken the liberty of naming Mr. Webber's parfum creation Mystery 6T .
Mystery 6T opens very bright , with bergamot and more . I think it must be neroli . A soft floral bouquet , delicate , slightly powdery with a touch of aldehydes floating above a generous dose of gorgeous jasmine and dainty rose . There has to be some tuberose but only a little , adding a creamy petal feeling with a touch of powdery orris . This is airy and modern , the base is barely perceptible , making the scent hover just above the skin in soft waves for hours . It has a slight textured quality too, perhaps roughed up by some herbs ? The base peeks out in this- a slightly sour note ( oakmoss ? ) and just a touch of tender patchouli . From start to finish this is ladylike and soft , beautifully balanced and a joy to wear .
The more I wear this , I detect some delicate fruity nuances too . Soooo summery fresh , in the heat this tart citrusy opening makes me re-apply over and over !

I have sent a bottle of this to some of my blog friends , and we are doing a joint blog post today so please go over to the others and read what they have to say about Mystery 6T .

Then , post a comment on any of the participating blogs as to why you should have a bottle of this rare , unreleased parfum and we will choose the most creative reply as the winner of a full bottle of Mystery 6T , one of the 22 bottles in existence !!

I will also be selling a few bottles , so if you are interested , please e-mail me.

If you loved Juliet Stewart Juliet , you will love this !!

Carol, you were very right when you said that since I love Juliet Stewarr, I will love this too.
I find it a perfect summer floral (once it gets to the floral stage) - the opening is just great! Thank you for including me in the project. :)

Carol, it's been so much fun to particpate in this project. And the fragrance is a true beauty...yes, I love that juicy bergamot (or neroli) opening, too! Aldehydes...my nose missed those, but now that you say it, I think you may be right.

Many thanks for this unique opportunity!

I have found it so interesting to read the different reactions to this unknown scent by the participating bloggers! When I saw the 6T logo I was first reminded of a tractor tyre, and then of a wheelchair. It took me a while to make out the 6T, but I see it now, with a slightly backwards-leaning T. The logo is a potent symbol, with its stark black lines, not unlike the insignia of a secret society. The opaque, frosted glass only serves to emphasise its mystique.

For a retro style of scent, 6T sounds very wearable, and I am a big lover of roses. I haven't noticed any mention of civet, so that is all very encouraging.

But the ultimate appeal of 6T for me has to be its link to the intriguing Mr Webber, its scarcity value and teasing anonymity, devoid of the usual clues conferred by packaging and branding. It is what it is, and what each wearer's solipsistic nose is able to make of it...

Hi
No civet in this , she's a very demure Chypre , and reminds me of Ava Luxe Chypre Noir...!

This project has been so enriching, Carol. Thank you for your generosity and imagination in launching this audacious and very fun experiment. My horizons have been widened, my writing skills have gotten a great workout, I'm getting to know some other wonderful bloggers... and of course my aura is filled with the sparkly fragrance of 6T. :) Thank you!

This is really interesting to read about. The whole mystery surrounding it is fascinating.

How creative can I be (does it have to be true lol)? Hmmm...Mrs Webber was my aunt and she'd want me to have a bottle. So not true but if I found out I was related to a perfumer I'd be doing back flips lol.

LOL
Thanks for entering Lisa !

Most of the aldehydes and gorgeous jasmine projects have their way on top of most fave by many of us. I really found these kinds of review informative and relaxing at the same time.
