Lanvin Rumeur vintage extrait

It's good .
It's gorgeous .
I've been struck dumb .

Created in 1934 by Andree Fraysee , Rumeur is a dark , mysterious foray into mossy , fuity , spicy , leathery : secrets told in the dead of night , whispered when all the world is asleep , remembered for eternity .
Nothing is out of place in Rumeur - nothing exta , nothing left out .

Notes according to Octavian :
peach, plum, dark vanilla, nutmeg, cardamom, clove, civet, tobacco and cuir de russie bases
There are indolic white flowers hidden there , and lots of moss . A chypre dream wrapped in lace and leather and ripe fruit !

The Puredistance " M " has arrived , so watch for my review and give-away Friday , my birthday .

wow! Gulp!

Carol.

You make this sound.....incredible.

That is bad, as it's a bit tough to find.

Certainly different from current Rumeur, which resembles nothing so much as current Chloe, which resembles everything else fruity-floral.....sigh.

I agree, this sounds absolutely amazing. And I agree re: the current Rumeur, which I find absolutely vile.

The stuff of legend! Are those days gone forever? I'm afraid so, unless some "outlaw" perfumers can prevail.

Happy Birthday to the other carol!! I am probably too late for the draw but not to late to send a greeting to you. Of course as you know I would love those dark ingredients, so exciting to go to bed with even if alone.
